Torsten's enthusiasm for traveling started during his high school graduation, spending many hours at the airport in Zurich, gazing into the wide world through the faces of arriving and departing travellers. After several backpacking trips through South America and a long bicycle tour through Colombia, it was clear to him that he wanted to live in Colombia. That was over 25 years ago. Today, Torsten still lives in Bogota with his wife and three children and when he is not working on sustainable travels through Colombia, you will find him on the soccer or tennis court.

"My name is Evelyn, and I have my roots in Dresden, Germany. In 1999, I visited Colombia for the first time. After that, I decided to study the entire Latin American continent more in depth at universities in Berlin, Mexico City, and São Paulo, as well as through numerous excursions. However, something always drew me back to Colombia, especially the kind people and the amazing landscapes. I joined Kiubo in July 2024, and I would like to share my fascination for Colombia. In my free time, I enjoy relaxing in hot springs and going to rock concerts or the cinema."
"I am Agathe, originally from France and I have been living in Colombia for the past 2 years. I fell in love with Latin America in 2017 when I had the opportunity to live in Argentina. What I love about this continent is the zest for life of the Latinos, their kindness, and their eagerness to savour every moment. Today, Colombia has welcomed me, and I don't want to leave anymore!
I enjoy traversing the country with my backpack, exploring the diverse landscapes, and getting to know the culture of each region. As a musician, I feel completely fulfilled in this country where music and dance play a huge role!"
"Hi, I'm Carolina, a citizen of the world, passionate about exploring new destinations and cultures. I have traveled through Europe, Asia, Africa, and America. I love discovering stories, flavors, and traditions. Each country, continent, and trip has taught me something about myself and the world, as it has been an adventure that inspires me and makes me grow. The last few years I have lived in Berlin, Germany with my German husband and my two children who also love to travel. We recently embarked on a new adventure by moving to Colombia, to have more time with the family and for our children to learn a new culture and most importantly, Spanish. I am excited to share my knowledge and experiences with others. "
"Hello, I am Diana. I was born in Colombia's most beautiful colonial town, Villa de Leyva. As a child, I worked as a tour guide at one of my town's main museums. After each tour, I would buy delicious cookies with my tips. I also grew up assisting tourists at our family businesses. I’ve always found it very interesting to interact with foreigners and learn about other cultures. I had the opportunity to live in England for almost six years, and I have been working in the tourism industry since returning to Colombia. I love working for DMCs, where I can help fulfil foreign tourists' dreams of visiting, experiencing, and falling in love with our beautiful country, which makes me very happy and proud of my job! I am happily married and have three beautiful little kids"
